Pretty Penny, Pen, Flirt

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

She likes flirting, playing with the other doggies, running around the house and yard like the energizer bunny, sleeping, sitting on the sofa and looking out the window, finding spots of sunshine and barking.

She dislikes being disturbed if she is in a deep sleep, and seeing dogs or people pass by the house sends her into barking bonkers mode!

Favorite Toy:
She likes a small, soft stuffing-filled ball. It is now just a shell of a ball, but we continue to put stuffing inside of it and throw it to her, and she has a ball with it (no pun).

Favorite Food:
She has not found a food that she does not like!

Favorite Walk:
She gets super excited when she sees her leash, so anyplace she goes from there is a treat for her!

Best Tricks:
She has good eye-mouth coordination; when you throw a toy at her, she just opens her mouth and the toy sticks to it like velcro!

Arrival Story:
My husband and I had been thinking about adding a 4th dog to our family, since you can never have enough beagles, so again we stopped at Petsmart to visit Penny Angels Beagle Rescue (PABR). We met this super sweet brown beagle name Luna; she was so excited to meet everyone! We walked her around the store and noticed that she seemed to have some stiffness in all of her legs. She weighed a few extra pounds, too, so that did not make it any easier for her to get around. She had such a nice presence! We just could not understand how someone could give her away, and it only took a short time for us to realize that she was meant to be a part of our family. We renamed her Penny and took her to the vet for a check up. The vet prescribed medication for her arthritis, and even though she still had stiffness, she did not let it stop her from running around and having fun. She quickly became the center of attention with the other doggies in the household because she was such a flirt! We easily fell in love with her and she was the perfect addition to our rapidly expanding beagle family!

I used to live with a family that had children, but for some reason they did not want me anymore, so they surrendered me to PABR. Everyone that I met in Beagle Rescue was so nice to me, and they gave me a lot of attention when I wagged my tail, so I made sure that I wagged my tail a lot! Due to my sweetness and my keen tail-wagging skills, I did not have to wait too long before finding my new family. I was very lucky to be adopted on 10-30-04!
