Quick Bio:
-purebred-service dog

Birthday:
March 13th 2008

Arrival Story:
I purchased Storm when he was just 3 days old. My first Service Dog needed to retire due to her heath problems. Storm began his training at just 3 weeks old(His breeders started the socialization part of his training at that age). At 8 weeks old he came home with me and we started advance training with a local working dog trainer. Because of his intelligence, attentiveness and willingness to learn, he got his certification(at the very young age of 4 months old) and became a full time seizure alert/response and mobility Service Dog.

Bio:
A lot of people look at me and think... She not blind, or doesn't look disabled, sick ,etc... So why does she have a service dog? For the most part I agree with them. On the surface with just a glance, I don't really appear disabled(I hate that label, but it is what it it is). So I will explain whats wrong with me. I have several disability's that make living alone without a service animal imposable. The number one reason is EPILEPSY. I also have lupus and a sever chronic pain disorder called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome AKA RSD/CRPS. Storm can alert me of a on coming seizure up too two hours ahead of time. He is also trained to pull me out of somewhere when the lighting could trigger a seizure. During a seizure he makes sure I am rolled on my side, breathing, then will bark to alert others. He can also pull me out of a bath tub. My dog is my life line to the outside world for the most part. So remember the old saying "you can't read the book by looking at the cover". I hope that this may answer any questions that may pop up. Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Here's to finding lots of new friendships.
