Well, it's been a few weeks since I came to live with "mom" and "dad". Dad found out how much I love to play tug 0f war, so we've had lots of fun together. I'm still not sure about my big sister Journey, but mom and dad are being pretty patient with us. The other night mom found us sleeping together on the rug and she almost cried. Of course, we weren't cuddled up together or anything, but mom said that just the fact that we would willingly share space is a big improvement. We had to move, but I don't mind because now I get to run outside all day. No more kennels or chains, mom just opens the door and I take off! I don't get to stay inside as much right now, cuz mom and dad are having to stay with other people while we get all of our i's dotted and t's crossed with the new place...whatever that means. Mom just keeps saying that..."Don't worry Dory, as soon as all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed you can come in all day and cuddle with mommy on the couch again!" So I"ll wait. Mom spends a lot of time outside with me so that I don't forget how much I am loved. She's a good mom. My human sisters play outside with me a lot too and bring me treats and throw the ball for me. I have a new friend too. Her name is Holly and she will be my neighbor when we move back into our house. We have tons of fun playing together! Holly plays tug of war with me when dad isn't home. Mom said Holly is a labrador retriever. Guess that means "good friend" cuz that's what she is! Well, off to chase the ball again, Holly just tossed it my way, so I gotta go throw it back. Have fun everyone and I'll let you know how things go!

Today started off like any other. Master put me out in the kennel and he and the boy hopped in the truck and were off. It kind of looked like rain, so I wasn't overly excited about being left out...again...alone...again. I started watching the cars going up and down the street in an effort to kill time when one of them did a very strange thing. They passed up my house, but then turned around and came back. A woman got out of the car and came walking up to my pen, and the weirdest part was...she knew my name! I didn't like this at all...Master was gone, the house was vulnerable and here is this strange lady saying my name. I'm stuck behind the fence so I can't even protect Master's home.

This lady kept talking to me and talking to me. Her voice was kind and soothing, and I got really confused. She offered me treats, and I took them, but I kept my eye on her. Then Master came home and opened the gate. I don't have to be so aggressive now, Master is home to protect the house. I ran up to the lady and took a few more treats, and looked around for Master. Gone again! What now? I ran to the door and he came out with my bed. I love my bed... most of the time. He made me get in and put me in the strange lady's car. Now we are going for a ride! This is different, but I'm ok with it for now.

We got to the lady's house and the day just went a little crazy after that. She has two other dogs here and at first I just wasn't sure what to make of them, but they don't seem to mind me, so I'll just ignore them for now. The lady says to call her "mom". Never had one of those before. It's kind of nice. I had to get a bath, but "mom" lets me sit in her lap and she's really good at belly rubs. There is a man here too and I get to call him "dad", but I love "mom" the most. The kids here are great, handing out love and treats every time I go near them. This could turn out to be the best day of my life!
