Arrival Story:
I am a rescued doggie. Cindy and Ellie came and met me at Mz Deena's house. Mz Deena and her friends in Dachshund rescue had found me in a shelter...and cuz I kinda look like a wire haired Dachshund, they saved me from the shelter. And right after that, Cindy wrote to them saying she wanted a pack mate for Ellie. Ellie had many, many weiner dog friends, so she asked Dachsie rescue if they had anyone who might get along well with Ellie. So Ellie and Cindy drove all the way from the Bay Area to LA to meet me, and it was love at first sight. I rode home with them that day. Cindy says she's been in canine culture shock since I joined the pack cuz she had Keeshonden for 20 yrs and now me...I'm not sure what she means but I think it's okay. I'm just a typical terrier really.
Bio:
After living with Cindy awhile, and going to the pet obedience classes...they think maybe I don't really have any Dachshund in me...Cindy says "you're all terrier, Barney...." Hmmm...I'm not sure she said that in a good way...but it's true. I am very tenacious and very brave especially about protecting Cindy and Ellie. Unlike my pack sis, I am NOT a fancy pants show dog but Cindy says I'm a great dog buddy. I'm the first mixed breed dog she's had in almost 20 years. Cindy used to be really active in AKC stuff...all kindsa dog shows, obedience trials, agility trials, field trials...whew...maybe I'm luck she found me after she slowed down a little. BOL. My Cindy's a real geek - spends all week on computers at work. But she also has a part time job as a pet nutritionist for Nutro.

Cindy entered a golf tournament...not realizing it was gonna be same time as Petco's Halloween costume contest this year.
