Now on Moonydays the ma does not go to works. But I forgots that an when she and My Boy drove off I thoughts I was on my own fur the day. Ma always tells me to watch the house when I'm home alone. Watch the house fur what?!
Anywoofs, seems the ma was checkin' up on my guard dog work and came home right after droppin' off My Boy at his school! Fur the very furst time ever I was NOT right at the door when she came in. She even took a few steps into the house and still no Pepper! Where was I? Sleepin' on the bed in the ma and dadder's bedroom! "What kind of a guard dog is this?!" I got caught sleepin' on the job!

You was just restin' your eyes so you could guards better I bet.
Well, evfurry body knows that the first hour after the peepoles leave the house is a safe time. No bad guys come around in that hour. You were taking your break before going on duty for the rest of the day.
BOL, you had to take a nap first before guard duty started.
Just a Watching Brief ... not asleep !!!!!!
Oh no, busted!!!!
You were guarding their bed because every pup knows what happened with Goldilocks and the three bears don't they?
BOL, pups, thanks fur the barks!
Coco Rose, you gots a good point there!
Sophie Claire always guards our house from the bed!
I think you did a good job. You don't need to be at the door to do the guarding, and it is okay for your Mommy to enter the house--it wasn't like she is a burglar.
I think you need to bark at your mom that you didnt alert her cause you knew it was her! Tell her that if it was the bad guys you would of been on top of them!Bol
Woof Woof, Molly
BOL! I agree, guarding doesn't mean straining yourself! You can get comfy while being vigilant ;)
YOu sound just like my lazy cousin Goose!
Since the bed is likely the most important pawlace in your furmily's den, I think you were doing the right thing by guarding that...and keeping it warm, too, for when the peeps want to use it!
Thanks, pups! Some very good excuses, um, I mean, reasons to guard from the bed!
