This is what I heard one day last week! I barked the furst time. But now I've heard it every morning this week, it's no big deal anymores.
Sumone down our street got a rooster! So me an ma walked down there to see which neighbor got em, altho we already had our suspicions. Sure enuf my doggy pal, Berkey's family are the ones. We also saw they have hens. Hope they share the eggs! Yum!

Did you getsta chase a wooster?
My former neighbors had hens, a rooster and a guinea fowl...the chickens were quiet compared to the guinea fowl! OMD What a racket...all day long!
I think cock-a-doodle-do is much pleasanter...
Chickens are interesting critters...one of my neighbor's hens flew into our yard..and I almost had me a chicken dinner/snack, but growlmy rescued it...
Perhaps one of your neighbors will wander over to your yard...hope you will be alert and ready, BOL!
Being a lab, you likely will snatch it up in your (soft) jaws and take it to your Mom! BOL!
I met a chicken once, up in Petaluma. You're almost bound to meet chickens there, BOL!! It was clucking around by our car and I gave it a piece of my mind!! It didn't really pay any attention, though. I think the photo is in my photo book somewhere. Anyway, I hope you get some of those eggies!
We have 6 young chickens. I don't really pay attention to them. They live in their own yard.
Are your neighbors allowed to have roosters? Some cities allow hens but not those noisy roosters. They don't really crow only at sunrise. And some of them get Mean! Be careful out there Pepper!
And Mom says she agrees with Freckles about the guinea fowl. Noisy and useless, in her opinion. :-0
Hi Lil Bear, no, I hasn't got to chase any of em, YET! BOL!
MrJack, that would be pretty cool if one makes its way over heres! But the coop better be sturdy! The last bunch of chickens they had, well before my time in the hood, got picked off by coyotes and/or cooneys. So hopefurly the birds can't get out cuz then that means the predators can get in!
Hershey, I remember your chicken encounter pics!
Tux, you are right he doesn't just crow in the morn! I heard him fur the furst time in the evenin. That was the only time I barked!
Hereeeeeeeeeee chicky chickyyyyyyyyyyy
