We had sum sad news this week. The Grandma called and let us know their dog, Rowdy, went to the Rainbow on Tuesday. This was not totally unexpected news, Rowdy was comin' up on 15 years old this March. But the Grandparents weren't expectin' to do it this week, it wasn't a planned thing. Rowdy just had a REALLY BAD day on Tuesday and they knew it was time.

Ma understood why it was the Grandma who called. Rowdy was the Grandpa's dog. Grandpa couldn't even talk about it on Tuesday.

Rowdy was Grampa's retirement buddy as Grampa retired a few years earlier than the Grandma did. So it was just the two of them hangin' togefur day in and day out fur a coupla years.

I never got to meet the Rowdy dog as he had certain "aggression issues" and he was already pretty frail and old when I came along. But apparently he and my fursister from befure me, Jamaica, were pretty good furiends as pups.

So another pup at the Rainbow runnin' fast and free. Peace to you, dear Rowdy.

Sophie, we live far away so we can't go over. But I sent a little donation over to their local SPCA in Rowdy's memory.

Flicka, it is a hard gift to give. I have yet to be blessed with an old dog passing away on their own in the night.

Sorry to hear this sad news. Growlmy has nevfur yet laid her own pup to rest, as I am the furry furst one, but she has 4 kitty angels, now.

Even if you nevfur have met a pup, somehow when you hear sad news it does give a certain twinge in your heart.
