They say it never rains in California. That may be true in the south, but here in central California we get rain aplenty! Right now we are getting a break from it, though.
We had a beautiful Safurday here in our Santa Cruz Mountains. Dad and my boy went off somewhere without me. Ma was hanging about home, takin' longer than I liked to get showered and dressed. She threw my ball fur me a bit here at the homestead. She seemed to not have a plan this day. Which was a bit odd, ma usually has some idea on how she's gonna to spend the day.
Finally she asked me to get in the car. We drove to the covered bridge park! Woo hoo this is one of my very favfurite places! We usually only go there when ma goes to work. We walked in the wooded area along the river. She threw my ball fur me a bit and took my newer picture. She also took a picture of the bulletin board, which I found odd.
We went to ma's office and spent about an hour there. Then we walked somewhere we have never walked before. We drive on this road every time ma takes me to work with her, but we've never walked it. As I said, it was a nice, warm, sunny day so it was quite pleasant, even a little too warm, maybe. But the cars buzzing by made it not quite an ideal walkin' place.
Wellwoof, we made it to the top of the hill. It was a long walk so we had a bit of water then turned around to walk back to our car. We were almost back when a car came up and waved to us. We were approachin' a wide spot in the road where they pulled over and stopped. A young couple got out and shook hands with ma. They talked fur a while then we continued to our car.
Boy I was pooped! Slept all the way home. But once we got home I was ready fur my end of the road fetch session!

Woofs! Thanks, pups! Sounds like a great day! I wish it would quit rainin' here so I could get a walk in... I am not getting any walks until it gets warmer, which is starting to look a lot like never. :(
And it rained in the winter when I lived in LA Pepper. Not tons, but it definitely did some. Glad you got a break!
