Today something strange happened while I was at the dog park. When we got there nothin' seemed out of the ordinary. There was an aussie shepherd who wanted me to play sheep and was shepherding my every move. Nothin' weird there, all the shepherds mistakes me fur a sheep. BOL! But I just played fetch with my ball like usual and ignored her.

Even with all that excitement, you did the right thing. Don't let anything distract you from the game of fetch! Oh dear, Flicka! My diary musta been invested with fleas when you came to visit!! Thanks fur persevering, though!! Sorry they bugged you so much! Do you want me to delete any of your comments? This park is very close to a major freeway. One of the dog park dads said anytime there is a medical emergency this is where they bring the whirlybirds(Flicka, I like your word for them) Hi Whitley & Tux! Strangely none of us barked at that whirlybird. Not sure why! And thanks, Tux, it was my one chance to play fetch in peace! I'm not gonna stop to watch yet another human gadget! You can delete if you want sweetie... but it sort of explains the frustration at the time !! Yes... often where there are major roads they will land a Whirlybird at a nearby park or playing field. They do in UK too. WHIRLYBIRDS ! That was an American TV series that made it to UK. it aired from 1957 -to around 1960. I JUST remember it. Below is a link to it . I knew it dated me when I used it last night... i am 55 .. those my age may just remember !! All about WHIRLYBIRDS tv series I've seen them do that at big fields too, for car accidents like that too...hope who ever it was, is ok..and you had a fun time with your ball! That's what I thought, too, Flicka, about the frustration. I'll let your comments stand. I'm a little younger than 55 (43). So guess the show is a bit before my time. Hey Petey, yeah, we hope he's ok, too. Maybe the news will have his story. I did have a fun time playin' ball! We see a lot of those medical flying ambulances. They sure do speed up the delivery of a trauma victim to the hospital! Hope he/she is feeling much better by now. I'm in the 50's too, but do not ever remember seeing that! Must have been before we got our TV when I was about 14 years old! I can't imagine not having one, now! Much less not have internet! BOL! |
