Arrival Story:
Sweet Emma. We decided to adopt a second Golden to keep Ben company while I am at work and the children are in school. Our hopes were that a sibling would help with Ben's separation anxiety and obesity problems. I do think that Ben is much more active since Emma became part of our family, although he still weighs 95 pounds. I wish that I could say the same about the separation anxiety. Now, when I pull up in the driveway, I see two black noses and two sets of eyes peering through the dining room window. And now, when I open the door, I am greeted by two whimpering darlings having complete meltdowns because they missed their mommy..... and I wouldn't trade them for anything! They are my sweet precious angels!
Bio:
Emma, unlike Ben, was a planned adoption. It actually took close to two years to find a breeder within driving distance. I just didn't have the heart to buy a puppy and have it shipped.... And, for some reason, I decided that I really wanted an English Golden... don't know why, because our Ben is perfect and he is a rescued American Golden. Anyway, Emma came to live with us at 6 weeks. She was a tiny baby, and I wish that I had waited 8 weeks. She has been following Ben around for almost her entire life. She absolutely adores him! It is SO sweet how much she loves him. She is 1.5 years old, and she still copies everything that he does.
