Pet-Peeves: Too numerous to mention. Suffice to say his motto says it all. Arrival Story: Lucky was found wandering on the west side of Manhattan by Lincoln Center. He did not appear to be on the streets long because he was well nourished and looked like he was well taken care of. He was very young, less than 8 weeks old. Bio: LuckyBoy was forever bonded to George who found him. Although Mommy took care of him, fed him, walked him, he was forever Daddy's boy. Lucky was a tough NY dog with attitude and you had to know him to understand him. He was with us for 16years and he was a once in a lifetime companion for us. He succombed to complications of Cushing's Disease in January of 2008, after fighting for 3 years after being diagnosed. Like a trooper, he fought off all infections, UTI's, skin lessions until his little body just couldn't come back. It was the most difficult and agonizing decision we ever had to make to let him go. He wasn't senile, he wasn't blind, he was mentally alert with an appetite that wouldn't quit but physically, he was a wreck. They say time heals all wounds but there are some that never heal. Forever our Boy. RIP Irondog.
