Arrival Story:
One morning when my husband Dan got up for work, he looked out the window and saw a tiny thing bolt past the window followed by my friends horsedog, Odie(German shepherd Irish wolfhound), walking after it. I looked outside and saw that the thing was a tiny dog. He had either somehow gotten into the fenced in yard, or neighborhood kids put him there in hopes Odie would attack him(we didn't live in a nice area). I called my friend and she took her dog in the house and we found the little dog hiding amongst the stuff under the porch. He was terrified, shaking (which hasn’t stopped to this day), and snapped at us when we tried to get him out, so my friend got a towel and draped it over him. We brought him in and calmed him down as much as possible but he would hide under everything he could (some places were only about 3 inches high). We put out "Dog Found" ads and realized his constantly being terrified had to be a result of a bad experience(about 6 years) with the previous owner. He started to get used to and attached to me, so over the next few weeks we decided to adopt him.
