Arrival Story:
Sage was picked up by our friend who was told to "come get THIS dog". Sage was crated for the first 2 years of her life. The only time she was left out of her crate was to go out and potty. Sage had been tried to be placed many times but she always bit the male of the house and she was brought back to our friend. Our friend ended up keeping her outside in the kennel because she wouldnt make friends with her husband no matter how hard he tried. One day we had taken my mother's cocker spaniel over to our friend because she lived in a trailer and that is what this dog was used to and she couldnt make it to the back door to go out. So our friend said she would take her. Well we were out looking to see what our friend had and to check on the resident St Bernard. Our friend told my hubby to get Sage out of her kennel so she could run for a bit because she hadnt been out at all that day yet. Sage had been out playing and bringing us the ball. When it was time for her to back in her kennel (10 x 10 space) she wouldnt go in. My hubby tried to put her in and she wouldnt go in. He said let me take her home. We took her home and she has been with us since. She is very protective us, but she has never bitten any male ever again. Even when our friends hubby came over, Sage would jump and lick him when she didnt want any parts of him before.

Bio:
Sage spent the first 2 years of her life in a crate. The only time she was left out was to go to the bathroom. The people who had her left their children poke and tease at her while she was in her crate. She has worn down her teeth from trying to chew her way out. When our friend got her, she didnt know how to play. Our friend took her for agility classes and she loved it. Now she plays ball non stop. Our neighbor swears she is ADD.
