Arrival Story:
I was a foster dog. I was adopted out and within a week I had gotten away and was missing for 4 months. I was finally found when someone brought me to a shelter and they scanned my microchip. I was a foster again. I was adopted out and my rescue was hopeful that my new owners had learned how to keep me contained. Then the rescue got a call from Beechmont Animal Hospital. Seems I got away again. The rescue called my owners and they had gotten divorced and the husband had me. The rescue called him. The husband stated that I had gotten away 3 times and thought it best I go back to the rescue. My former foster Mom decided that it was best to keep me since nobody but her seems to be willing to do what it takes to keep me in place. So here I am, again, in my foster home but it seems I'm going to be staying. A quick edit. It seems that I had been adopted once before my foster Mom joined the group so that makes 3 times adopted and 3 times returned. As good lookin' as I am you know I must be BADDDD.

Roamer's Ramblings


Sigh, what's in a name.

Mom still calls me Poker, she can't help it. When I was her foster I was Poker and she isn't able to switch. Sis calls me Roam or Roamer... I don't respond to that as well. Mom isn't sure it is because it is Sis, who isn't as stern, or because she is calling me Roamer.

I bet that Mom win's out and I end up being Poker again. What do you think?

Okay guys, just because the cats knock down my stuffed lion from the top of the TV stand does NOT mean it is a tug-of-war toy. You got it? You Doggs are soooo lucky Leo is still in one piece. I swear I'll "defluff" you guys if I find one hole!!

We all have special guests in our home. Mom brought home a Kitty Mama and her five kittens on May 14th. We get to foster these kittens until they are old enough to be put up for adoption. Mom is really excited since she hasn't had a Momcat and her kittens since last years litter of 7. Mom says they became a real handful running about and doing kitten stuff. Mom gets to name these kittens but she says she won't name them until they are bigger and their personalities show. Mom thinks she is going to make a catster page just for them so she can share all the fun stuff.

Mom cat is really nice and doesn't mind anyone coming in to give her a hand with the kittens. They are in the closet of the spare bedroom right now but in a week or so Mom with let Mom cat out for a break. She snuck out once and mom found her in the living room with the dogs like she owned the place so she isn't worried about Mom and the rest of the family. Chessie can't wait until he can help mother the kittens. Mom will probably let him in to see Mom and kittens before everyone else.
