My humans, they are so busy, there are a total of 4 young humans running around my house now. The oldest, he's my human, then there is the curly headed one, she's getting ready to start something called kinder garden or something, then there are two babies now, both are walking. I try to kiss on the oldest baby, but when i do, she cries, don't know what that is about, but the baby that just started walking, she doesn't mind my kisses and she knows my name now, no more having to answer to doggie.
Boy those humans make me tired. The baby that likes my kisses, she's been sick, I heard momma say something about a brain tumor, she was gone for a while and mom and dad were really scared. I think she'll be fine though even though mom said the tumor is growing back. She acts fine to me, plus she'll come up to me and pet me, she's very sweet and gental.
I go to the Dr myself this week, I hate getting shots, but mom said she'd get me a shot for my allergies (what ever that is) I sure am itchy, but the shot helped last time, so if my little human can handle a brain surgery, I can handle a little shot or two.
Oh and I have to say that I am so proud of my momma, she graduates this month, with a B.S (again what ever that is) but those long nights of keeping me up with her homework are over for a while. I didn't mind though, momma is good company(and she'd scratch my ear as she read).
Life is good though, I have a house full of humans that love me, and a comfy couch to lay on.

Our first Miniture Schnauzer, Tweeker, passed away after 6 wonderful years with him. He was adopted so I knew when were ready for another dog, we would adopt again. For us there was no better way to honor Tweeker's memory then to save another life, just as we did his.
It took us almost a year to find a miniture schnazuer to adopt (including a grieving period). I searched local shelters regularly, and rescues within my own state and surronding states as well. Our problem was we had a 2 year old daughter and most breed specific rescues would not adopt to a family with small children. Those that would consider adopting to a family with children turned us down because we didn't have a fenced in yard. Now it was frustrating at times because we had breed experance, wonderful vet and groomer refrences as well, plus we own our home. But above all else, we are responsible parents and pet owners. I knew all this, but I had to be understanding that the rescues had these rules in place for a reason and were only looking out for thier dogs.
Petfinder.com again came to the rescue. I found an out of state rescue that had a very handsome schnauzer which they pulled from a kill shelter, I contacted them, gave them our story and our refrences and they said they would adopt to us. I was so excited.
I would not recommend adopting a dog you have never met before, especially if you have kids, but for us, and our breed experance, I was willing to work with any issues he may have had. Plus I kept in close contact with his foster mom and she assured me he was a very easy going dog.
My husband drove the 2 hours to get him and brought him home. He made himself right at home to. When I came home from work(I had yet to meet him), he ran to the door and greeted me as if he'd known me his whole life and missed me so.
Max was 11 months old when he became a part of our family. He is such a wonderful dog, great with the kids, and we have only had minor issues to work on, normal puppy things he just needed to be taught.
I can't express in words how important adoption is, but Max, he is a wonderful example of what great dogs are out there just waiting to be loved.

Things are busy at my house. The thing that was crawing and following me around everywhere, well she's figured out how to walk, she's nice though when mom puts her in her chair to eat, she'll throw food down to me.
There's a new little crying thing in the house again, I'm safe from it for now though, she just lays there and sleeps all the time, sometimes she cries, but not a lot.
We're all looking forward to Christmas, I wonder what I'll get in my stocking this year, I'm hoping for a new kong wubba toy and maybe some blue buffalo treats, I have been a really good boy this year.
