Arrival Story: Bear was never able to be registered. We neutered him. We bought Bear when I was younger and wanted a dog. Bear jumped right on my lap and started giving me kisses, I was hooked. There was a special bond between Bear and me. Such as, I was the only one that made Bear feel comfortable enough to expose his belly to me. Bear was my best friend, I loved taking him hunting and playing with him. We bonded when we'd lay on the floor at night and sleep next to each other, sometimes I'd use Bear as a pillow.

Bio: We lost Bear on Saturday March 26, 2004, six days from Bears 8th birthday. Bear had eaten some pig scraps and due to the pork being so rich caused a blockage in his pancreas. Bear was slowly going down hill for a week. But for the first few days he seemed okay after he ran a little bit and took a nap. We even consulted a Veterinarian about it and he said to give him some Pepto Bismol and if he wasn't better by Sunday to take him to the Vet. So we did as he said. But by the time Friday had rolled around something went terribly wrong. Bear had stopped eating and he didn't have enough energy to get up and walk. My parents, Mark and Kris, rushed him to the Vets Office. And they told them that Bear had a blockage in his pancreas due to too much pork and that he'd have to stay overnight so they could monitor him and keep him on some antibiotics. Saturday morning came the earth shattering call...Bear had died at 7:00 am that morning. That was the worst news that we could take. Since Bear and I had been together for almost 8 years, it was hard for me to overcome.
Bear was an amazing dog. He had only been with us a short amount of time, but in that time he had managed to be both friend and team mate, family member and co-worker. Bear, know matter where you are you will always be loved here and never forgotten.
-Ain't no mountain high enough
-Ain't no valley low enough
-Ain't no river wide enough
-To keep me from getting to you babe
Bear will always be loved and missed.
