The Final Chapter of my Bestest Friend.

I know it has been a very long time since Xena Warrior Princess or myself have been here on Dogster.
For the past long months my wee Soulmates health has not been good and after a visit to her vets we had the sad news that Xena Warrior Princess had an aggrivated form of Cancer.

On the 1st of this month i had to make the heartbreaking decision and what was best for my soulmate to help my Wee Warrior into the final chapter of her life into Rainbow Bridge. Now she no longer suffers her pain is no more and that huge smile she used to have which was taken from her by her cancer will now be back upon her beautiful face once more.

Xena was more than just my dog, she was my everyday Sunshine, my daily adventures, my reason for writing, most of all, she was the Bestest Friend i ever have had. I have wonderful memories, though my tears are still crying rivers, yes she had a great life, but she was so young at only 7 which makes it all the more harder. I was there, holding her paw singing "You are my Sunshine, my only Sunshine" as she took her last breath, for that i am thankful because she knew i was there.

First off i am so sorry for not answering any messages or returning any visits you have all so kindly given, but you were never far from my thoughts. Thank you ALL so very much to ALL you wonderful people who have spent time here to leave comments or even just a visit to Xenas' page, left gifts and stars. A very Special Thanks to Xenas' Faithfull and very Loyal friends who visited each and every day to enjoy reading about her Daily Adventures and antics. Most of all.

I have written a memorial page and a few poems, but i can no longer see the keys through my tears, i shall be back soon to post them.

Rest in Peace my Wee Warrior Princess and may you sleep well with the Angels.

A Smasharoonie Saturday in the Merry Morrison Hoose!!

That yer going up the park tae have a lotta fun-ee-oh?"

Xena's got two big brown eyes that light up like the sun, and every time she looks at me her eyes are full of fun.
She'll bark her barks "n" stomp her paws and wag her waggily tail.With a ball in her mouth and a leash round her neck, she's ready to set sail.

" Xena, Xena, where ye gonny go-ee-oh, Xena, Xena, whit ye gonny do-ee-oh, Xena, Xena, does yer daddy knoooooow?.
That yer going up the park tae have a lotta fun-ee-oh?"

You'll never see her sitting still she's just the roaming kind, she's up and down the whole day long with mischief on her mind.
She'll chase her balls and catch some sticks and bark her heart oot loud. With a spring in her paws and a wag in her tail, she'll always make her mom so proud.

A very good morning my lurvely dogstars,

YEEEHAAA!!!! It's the weekend and my daddy is off work fur a whole week, whoo hooo! The good thing aboot that is mom made dad promise that he has tae take me oot at least 3 times while he is off.....BOL!!!! Mom says she will join us on one day, looks like I'm in fur an excitin week.

Anyhoo, mom kept her promise and we had a Smasharoonie extended adventure yesterday. As usual we had a whole lotta fun. Mom took me tae a different spot so there were plenty of new bits tae pssssttt on and lotsa new smells and new places tae visit, There were hunners a wee Squirrlies oot playing, needless tae bark I never managed tae catch any, boy they're fast!! The BESTEST thing aboot oor morning adventure wis mom allowing me tae have a swim. Mom says that because that's where I injured my wee paw, she wis a wee bit scared tae let me back in.....Boy oh Boy I sure wis Tail Waggingly happy that she did. Mom even helped me search fur sticks tae toss in the water fur me tae swim and catch....... WOWEEEEE!!!!!! Whit a morning!!

I wis way too tired by the time we to home at notice how long mom wis away fur. Poor dad thought mom had run away! He kept saying "Where's yer wee mammie Xena?"....BOL!! As soon as he heard the keys turning he came running doonstairs and ave mom a humungous bear hug and a hue kiss. Me, well I just looked on with sleepy dog eyes fae the couch and new dad wis oot of the Dog Hoose.....BOL!!

Mom did some writing when dad went tae work, then headed upstairs tae play on her Latop. Boy I sure wis glad, the TV went off, the lights went off, then I sneaked upstairs and spent the rest of the night in the Morrisons bed....Ahhhh!!!

Mom and dad are heading oot fur a wee while this morning, me, I think once they go I will sneak back in tae bed and dream of a Doggieland Reunion. I hope ye aw have a WunderwooOoofal weekend full a fun, lurve, and sunshine in yer hearts!! If yer having a rubbishy day I'm sending ye aw ma Waggily Tail tae help ye feel better.
