Zoie's new life.

One year at the bridge today.

It was one year ago today that I came to the bridge. I was very sick. I had a very bad stomach ache and it hurt all night long but I was in my crate and I felt safe there so I didn't make noise. As the daylight came I felt like I was ready to go to Doggie Heaven. When my Mom came to let me out to potty she saw how sick I was. She and Dad hurried to get to the vet with me but I had to go. It was time for me to leave. I'm so sorry they were so sad. I didn't want to make them cry. I just had to go. It has been a hard year for them but I think they are OK now. They still talk about me and sometimes they cry but they will see me again one day and that will be such a happy day.

Zoie crossed over...

Zoie's mom called me tonight to tell me Zoie is gone. She was rushing her to the vet because her breathing was not right. On the way she took her last breath in her mommy's arms. The vet said it was HGE an intestinal hemmorage and something he has seen before. Without warning there is a hemmorage and the chance of saving the patient is slim.

Zoie had come from an abusive home and into a home where she was truly loved. Every day she knew she was loved and she showed her people she loved them in return. Their hearts are broken but then it is never easy to say good bye to a precious furbaby. Zoie had love. She knew she was loved. They took good care of her. There is nothing more they could have done for her. Now they morn her passing.

Beautiful Zoie is at Jesus's feet tonight. He needed a special little dog and she is there with him.

Zoie is home!

Zoie's new parents called to tell me her splint was removed today and the vet says she is fine and doesn't need another one. Her Mom says they absolutely love her and she is perfect. She melts into your lap and just stays there. She gets along with the other dogs and they want to keep her forever. Good luck Zoie Girl. Have a happy life. I will not forget you.
