Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
| -purebred | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: July 4th 2001
Likes: Love - from people or her dog pals. But walks and food are close seconds.

Pet-Peeves: Water - especially cold bodies of water. Baths aren't exactly a fave either.

Favorite Toy: Pester, Gunther and Pandora

Favorite Food: Millie loves raw chicken, and she will do the world's cutest, clumsiest happy dance when she knows it's dinner time.

Favorite Walk: Millie LOVES walks of any kind. Walks are Millie's favorite activity. A walk with Booker is a special treat.

Best Tricks: The Dinner Happy Dance, dancing in general, chilling out both dogs and people around her. Millie should be a Therapy Dog. It's on the to-do list.

Arrival Story: Millie showed up at the Pinole Animal Shelter for the fourth time about 5 years after my own dog Gunther (her almost-twin and probable littermate) showed up at the same shelter. She was filthy, overbred, had chain marks around her neck and was covered in scars and scabs from some nasty yard fights.
Turns out Millie had been a breeding machine for some loser who didn't want to spring for the fees the second time she landed at the shelter, and then her new adopter gave her to his friend to be a yard dog.
After her new loser owner's friend called her in as a "stray" after a particularly nasty dogfight with his intact female (despite her already having been claimed by this dope and his friend on her third trip to the shelter), Millie went to the shelter for a fourth and final time.
Some major frustrating red tape later, I brought Millie home to heal and to teach her that life was better than being used as a breeding machine and ineffectual outdoor security system.
Millie is clearly related to my own dog Gunther, down to her being about as sharp as a marble. Millie is actually a bit beyond the dim side and operates at about a 5-month-old puppy age. This makes her endearing, if no candidate for Pet Star.
After trying out a Forever home or two, it was decided that it was unfair to keep bouncing this dually-special dog around anymore, and she'll stay with her Big Bro Gunther until, one day, the love of her life (Booker) will sweep her away forever.

Bio: We thought she might be from a later litter than Gunther's, but as she's been around longer we think they're probably from the same litter. Millie is a sweet, gentle and very simple dog. She's fantastic with people - especially babies - and other dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages.
