Leave a bone for Kelly and KC

Arrival Story: I rescued both dogs. Kelly at the age of 11 months, now she is 8 years old, she is the black -tri color one. And this last january after loosing our male Cody, I adopted KC he is only 1 years old. I have had a total of 5 english setters in my life. I love the breed. Kelly and Cody were both rescued dogs who had health problems that I was able to help them get rid of by holistic measures. Cody had seizures, then bone cancer at the age of 3, he lived to be 12 years old , his heart gave out on him, in Dec. Otherwise I had him in excellent health. Kelly now has a cancerous tumor in her mouth on her upper jaw, I decided not to have the jaw taken out and also took care of this with naturals supplements. It has been 10 months now and her tumor has not grown, she is healthy, eats and plays with her new playmate KC. KC has no health problems, he is a very sweet, loving setter.

Last January we adopted a little male english setter. we had just lost our male setter Cody to heart trouble at the age of 12. Our female tri-color setter Kelly who is 8 years old and has a cancerous tumor in her mouth was griving very bad. We thought we were going to loss her also. She also was adopted. I was looking at petfinder when I came across KC, they thought he was between 5 and 8 months old. When we went to see him, he looked really bad, they had not cleaned him up yet. And he was going back and forth in his cage, the women told us he had been there since September and they were worried that he was going stir crazy being locked up in his cage for so many months, this was now January. They gave him a bath and then they let us put him on a leash and take him outside to meet Kelly who was in our car. As soon as we put Kelly on her leash, she went right to him and as my husband and I walked them, they walked side by side. We adopted him that day and it was one of the best days of our life. KC is such a sweet gentle little boy, and he looks so much like Cody, even the one brown ear. Kelly and him are always together, they even sleep together on the same couch and bed. KC has brought so much joy to our lives, and Kelly is acting like a young dog again, she is eating and plays with KC all the time. We have a big fenced in yard and we will never forget the day we brought him home and let him loose in the yard, he ran and ran, with Kelly right beside him. No more cage for our KC ever again. We have had five setters in our life, and the last three have all been rescued and adopted. I hope more people will rescue dogs, they make the best dogs, I swear they know that by adopting them, we have saved their lives. My family and friends have followed our example and adopted their dogs also.
