Hi I am Sunny,
Well, initially I was named "Fairy" by either the shelter that found me in Harlan, Kentucky or by the Homeward Bound team that rescued me in Minnesota. I was part of a Homeward Bound adoption event at Petco on Saturday, February 14th in Minnesota where a man, woman and young boy came to see the pets that day. I heard them talking recently and they laugh that they were "only going to look that day and had no plans of adopting a puppy". Well, that all changed when the young boy spotted me when they placed me in a small wire crate with two other puppies.
The two puppies that I was with were not part of my original litter as I was the last of an abandoned litter. These other two puppies were SUPER hyper and were always jumping around me. Well, this young family asked to get to know me better and I have to say that my tail was wagging a million miles a minute!!! We walked outside of the building for a little bonding time. They touched my paws and placed me on my back and rubbed my belly. They were so impressed at how calm I was and how I wagged my tail so much.
After a little time, they decided that I was the puppy for them! I wasn't able to go home with them right away as I had to be spayed and microchipped on Tuesday of that week. They were so excited to get me that the mom met the Homeward Bound team after work and picked me up and brought me to their home. Their son was so excited to see me and I have been loved so much by everyone in the family.
I have been doing great sleeping in my kennel and on my house training... I have had a few accidents but after being here for a little over one month, we have worked into a very good schedule!
I know my family is as happy to have me here as I am to be here!
