Arrival Story:
During the summer of 2003, a litter of puppies were found on the side of the road. A few of the pups were injured, the worst being a sick little fuzzy black and tan pup with broken ribs. We think that someone probably beat the pups and dumped them on the side of the road to die. Luckily, the people who found the pups took them home, had them checked by a vet, and nursed them back to health. All of the puppies found caring new homes except for the fuzzy little black and tan boy. No one seemed to want a puppy recovering from broken ribs. Eventually this little pup, named Scrappy, came to live with us.
