Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: February 1st 2009
Likes: Sleeping, eating, chewing, biting, chewing, playing, did I mention chewing? :)

Pet-Peeves: Waking her up when she's sleeping. Leaving her alone. Not letting her bite and chew all over the place, especially your hands and feet. Not letting her eat junk in the yard, not letting her destroy her toys, not letting her sleep on your bed.

Favorite Toy: Bully chewing bones, Deedles singing snake, Zanies yellow squeaky dog

Favorite Food: Bil Jac Puppy food

Favorite Walk: Around the neighborhood, the dog park, Petsmart

Best Tricks: Sit, down, take it, leave it, drop it (sometimes), shake. She still doesn't know stay.

Arrival Story: We've been wanting to get another dog after Daisy passed away. Eight months later, a friend of my dad's friend had puppies to give away. We got Molly from them. We don't know what breeds are in her. They say the father was a stray who impregnated the mom when she got out of the yard. We think Molly is a terrier/schnauzer mix.

Bio: Molly graduated from Petsmart's puppy class on 8/1/09. I was afraid she wouldn't graduate. She does well with commands (at home), but she's afraid of people and other dogs/puppies. She is very gradually becoming more open and social, but is still extremely shy. The trainer says it's not so much other dogs/puppies, but people. She needs to open up to people and not be afraid. Although graduating, she's still very naughty at home, chewing on everything and jumping on the couch.
As of January, Molly is very naughty at home. She still chews on furniture and everything else in the house, and destroys all of her toys. She doesn't behave and is very disobedient. Of course we love her to pieces, and she fits in with the family perfectly. :)

Molly is still missing as of today. :( It's been over a month now, and we still don't have her back. By now we're sure someone took her in and is keeping her. We just want her back home. We've done everything we can. We put up tons of flyers immediately after she went missing including putting them into people's mailboxes. Since then, most of the flyers are now gone. We've had a lot of rain a few weeks ago, and I'm sure people (or the city) probably took some of the flyers down.
We've also been checking all of the local shelters every single weekend since she went missing. We're hoping that whoever has her will give her up and turn her in.
It's been very hard for me because of various events that have occurred. Feb 1st was Molly's 1st Birthday. Feb 6 was the one month date of how long she's been missing. And Feb 14 was New Years, which would've been her first. I miss and love Molly so very much. :(

I lost my precious puppy Molly on Wednesday. I had to work late, and when I came home, she was nowhere to be found. I saw that the back iron gate was a bit open. The gap is big enough for her to fit through.
My dad said that he had a visitor around lunchtime. The visitor left through the back gate, and closed it behind him. My dad didn't close the gate, and assumed it was closed completely by the visitor. Obviously the gate must not have been closed completely, and it was a big enough gap for Molly to go through.
I don't know what time Molly got out, or if the front iron gate was closed at the time or not. I'm assuming it wasn't, so she'd run out into the street.
When I came home, I searched for her on the neighborhood streets, to no avail. I also talked to some neighbors, and no one has seen her. It was already dark then too. My dad came home and we drove around to look for her. Later my sister came home and we drove around the entire neighborhood area, going up and down back streets, alleys, etc. We had one of her toys with us, which makes a very loud noise, but we couldn't find her anywhere.
Friday update:
It's been 2 days now, and Molly is still missing. :( We searched the neighborhood for her Wed night, to no avail. Yesterday my sister and I put flyers on lamp posts, and into everyone's mailboxes. We also handed them out to people we saw, and posted it at the vet's office. The flyers were in both English and Spanish. We scoured the entire neighborhood area.
One neighbor on a side street behind ours said she saw Molly on Wed night. Another neighbor next to her said he saw Molly yesterday morning. So we're pretty sure that she's in the area.
Today as I was leaving work, I got a call about Molly. A little girl called and said she thinks she has Molly. She says she lived in a apt on a nearby street. She gave me what ended up being a fake phone number. And I scoured the apts on that street, to no avail. I'm thinking it's some kid playing a prank.
Tomorrow we're going to check the local pound and shelters. A friend of my sister checked yesterday, and didn't see her. We were more concerned with searching the streets, since if she's in the pound, she's safe there.
So tomorrow we're checking the local shelters/pounds, and scouring the streets again. I want Molly home safe and sound with us. :(

Molly's Pro Collar only lasted her for about 2 days. On Wednesday, her Pro Collar must have deflated overnight, and it turned around so that the air valve was at her mouth area. In the morning we discovered the collar deflated and the valve chewed off. We took it back to Petco on Thursday to exchange it for the Comfy Collar, which is the cone-shaped e-collar, but made of vinyl covered foam. It's soft and comfy, and the shape changes with movements made. Hopefully this one will last.
Poor Molly has been miserable since the surgery. She's usually a high energy hyperactive puppy. Because she's not allowed to exercise and go crazy, she's been channeling her energy into chewing on the couch and dining chairs. She already does this regularly, but even more so now. She doesn't want to play with any of her toys or chewing bones. I finally had to give her a giant rawhide bone that we were saving for when she's older. She loves her new giant bone and it keeps her busy and occupied.
