 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 11th 2002
Likes: Food and attention, did I mention food?

Pet-Peeves: The postman

Favorite Toy: Ladies don't play with toys....well sometimes but prefer to go for walks and sniffle all the scents along the way now that is fun!

Favorite Food: Anything edible

Favorite Walk: Not important so long as she can get a bit of free running in

Best Tricks: She'll bring you almost anything but usually it is the cloth used to clean her brother, Bilbo's face.....

Arrival Story: Our second Berner, Pancho was 7 years old and as they never get very old we decided it was time to add another one to the family. Freya was one of 3 females in a litter of 8 and when we went to select her ended up taking the runt of the litter, Bilbo as well. Pancho sadly never made old bones, his liver giving in 3 months after the arrival of the pups.

Bio: Freya was spayed at 11 months as we did not want to breed. We decided that finding good homes for the pups would be too stressfull. She is the most loving, hugable and cuddly dog yet quick to defend if the need arises. She loves to give kisses and smiles regularly at you especially when welcoming you back home. She suffers slightly from elbow stiffness in the one fore-leg but that does not hamper her style in anyway. She just simply loves food and we have to ration her otherwise she would get fat, we try and keep her weight at 52/53 kg (116lbs).

I spend all night in the bedroom, I spread myself all over the floor and Mommy and Daddy are very careful not to step on me. I think it is important to stay put for the night so that they can feel safe. Only after my brother, Bilbo has woken them up will I leave them and check on the front door.
Mornings I spend checking all the activity out front. I can lie on the tiles below the fish tank and have a dogs’ eye view of the garden and road. I am a very good guard dog, nothing happens without me knowing about it and I let everybody know. Mommy doesn't like it too much when I bark at everything but love to tell everybody when people walk past the house. Bilbo likes to help me tell everybody.
People think I am very cross because I can do the 'attack dog' thing very well but shame some humans are very stupid and just see my teeth but never my wagging tail! Got them fooled!
I don't mind the heat as much as Bilbo because my hair is shorter and I don't weigh as much as him. I just love to sit up on my hind legs and paddle with the front legs till Mommy or Daddy comes to give me a hug. I love hugs almost as much as I love food. Did I mention I love food - no, how remise of me.
I just cannot get enough of the lovely stuff and will do anything for a bit of food. I wash the floor, cupboards and have even been caught out by look-a-like food. I also love to eat any wood, if you come and visit me you will always find me looking through the garden for a nice branch to chew, its all in the chew not the flavour just like bubblegum.
I love to go for walks but afterwards my leg gets quite stiff but that is okay so long as I can run and sniff all the messages left by other dogs. The beach is the best place, it all smells so different and the water tastes funny but it is such great fun. I like playing tug-of-war with Bilbo and the kelp is just like a big version of my favourite rope toy. Only thing is Bilbo prefers ‘kill’ all the kelp!
