Arrival Story:
We were first married and I wanted a German Shepherd and my husband an English Bull Terrier. We compromised on a Doberman and started saving up. My husband worked at a local golf course and as he left for lunch found a crowd surrounding a box containing a beautiful golden puppy. No one wanted the responsiblity so he quickly gathered up the little guy. He still had a half of a day's work left so left the pup in as secure a place as he could find. Fellow workers kept feeding the puppy hot dogs, liverwurst etc., even people who didn't like anyone. He was gift from Great Mystery.

Bio:
He was about 4 months old when we found him. He had an injury on his left wrist. The fingers splayed out like a duck. The Vet told us because he was so young it would heal, but it was very painful and he was prescribed Codeine. He did heal and had a normal paw but he developed arthritis in the arm and couldn't run much without pain. When he died, I thought the sun wouldn't come up ever again. He was the most unusual dog I've ever met. He taught me to be the best Mommy for that individual and nurture whatever that dog needs and wants to be. He taught me so much.
