Arrival Story:
We saw Basenjis in a book and fell in love with their smile. Our mixed breed, Wellington, had died and we knew he was part pit bull and we thought Basenji. So we searched and finally located a breeder 6 hours away from us. Upon seeing all the dogs, we agreed on a 7 month old female. This breeder would only allow us to take her if we would enter her in dog shows. When she left her breeder, her mother and aunt went for a run with her in the backyard. They got on either side of her and each grabbed a (face) cheek as they ran. Then they yodelled a good bye as she got in the car.
Bio:
She was a very strong willed Basenji. She loved chewing all things plastic. She yodelled greetings and to get out of trouble.
