Arrival Story:
Kili belonged to a neighbor down the street who kept him in a cat carrier or tied to a 3 foot leash attached to the cupboard door for the first five months of his life. I told the kids I wanted him if they decided to get rid of him. One day the father called me and asked me if I wanted the dog. I said yes. Five days later he came to his forever home. The cat carrier went in the trash, right behind the leash. Kili and I have never looked back. He's a momma's boy and Kili has my heart.

I've been thinking...................

a lot about you, my friend Sandy . I spend a lot of afternoons laying out side under our big pine tree..........waiting for you to appear ~ to lay beside me. I know you are there. I see you watching me from above. I lay really still and Momma calls me and calls me. But I'm laying there just waiting for you to come down and lay with me.

Finally, Momma comes to pick me up and bring me in ~ but don't you worry. I'll be back tomorrow ~ same place ~ same time.

I found this poem and it reminded me of you.

I Am Your Silent Angel.

I'm your silent angel,
in your heart is where I will stay,
friends until our lives will end,
a true friend in every way,
I understand your worries,
I can feel your pain.
I will try to bring you sunshine
on the days when you see rain.
I will try to make you smile,
when you are feeling bad,
I will try to chase away your woes,
I will be there when you're feeling sad,
remember me when the song thrush sings,
or with the scent of fresh cut grass,
I am a friend you can rely on
I offer a friendship that will last.

*Looks up at the title of his diary.*

I swear pups, this is a true story!

See, I tore my ACL in my other hind leg. Some of you may remember a year ago, I tore the ACL in my right rear leg. Well this year, it's my left rear leg! Suvi and her dodging tactics..........she gets the best of me every time!

Tonight was the night we are supposed to have our heartworm meds for the month and Momma got a new kind this year that is pill form. Sssssssssssshhhhhhh! She doesn't think I know! Let's just keep that between us!

Mom very carefully prepared our supper bowls with our Little Caesars, sliced cheese, a hot dog treat (made especially for us in the good 'ole USA and our pill pockets. My bowl had two, one for the Tramadol and one for the heartworm med.

Suvi, being the pig she is, cleaned her bowl right out! Me, being the original MR. PICKY PANTS, went outside first, came back in, sniffed the bowl and laid back down. Momma, not wanting Suvi to get double dosed on meds, invited her to take a break in her kennel. Well let me tell you, I had no idea what she had done to get locked up!

I looked at Momma and you know what she said? "Kili, you can spring her by eating your supper. Once you eat, I will let her out of the kennel."

I looked at Suvi, looked at Mom and promptly ate my supper!

Am I good or what?

Love & Licks,
Kili

A Nip and Tuck ........you say?

Let me tell you my tail of the trip to the vet's office, Pups!

Suvi, my sister, sucked right up to him and got to go first. Dumb girl...... I sat and watched what they did to her. Let me tell you, mister, no way I was putting up with that without a fight!

When it came to my turn, he told momma I could use a Nip and a Tuck here and there. Muscles don't live in the hind end he says! Yeah, right.......I'll teach you about hind ends!

I was really good for my exam and shots.......just waiting for my opportunity to get even for that little Nip and Tuck routine! Then Momma asked the fatal question! She wanted my toenails nipped! My golden opportunity! I snapped and growled and showed them my teeth more than a few times! Unfortunately that vet tech had me in a head lock and she was a pretty strong girl!

Momma, next time don't warn them!

Love & Licks,
Kili
