Arrival Story:
We adopted Rocky through RHS-(www.richardsonhumanesociety.o rg) in June 2001. His previous humans neglected him and didn't want him anymore so they dropped him off at the Vet's office. The kind vet called the rescue organization and they gave him love and medical attention until he found his way to me. He has never played with toys, he doesn't know what those are. He follows his humans from room to room and is happiest to be sitting next to you just hanging out. He will spend his golden years with those that love him dearly and will never neglect him or leave him behind. Rocky enjoyed visiting assisted living centers as a therapy dog until he was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and it started taking too much out of the little guy. He is now in retirement and loving life as the senior member of the family.

Bio:
We lost Rocky to congestive heart failure on March 11,2006. We loved him with all of our hearts, as he loved us. Choosing to help him end his battle was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but it was the kindest, last loving act I could do for my buddy. Rocky brought joy, smiles and love to many people, we couldn't have asked for more from him. We enjoyed 5 blissful years with him, but he will remain in our hearts forever. Rescue a senior and they will give all to you and more. They may not have as long as others, but they are so grateful for that second chance, and your life will never be the same again!

Rock Jock,

You taught me that senior dogs deserve a second chance. I am so glad I was able to provide you with yours. While you were only with us for 5 years, it was a full five years and you introduced me to so many new friends. You were a special little man who brought joy to those in need. I will always see you sitting up on your square bottom for treats!

Love you always,
Mom
