I have not been feeling my best these last couple of days. Mommy knew something was wrong when I was hesitant to jump up on the bed. She is always watching me for when I am having trouble with my hips, so she knew right away I hurting on my right side.
I think I hurt my right hip. I don't like putting too much weight on it. I probably did it the other day when I charged out of the back door so fast I hit the side of the wall. I couldn't help it...there was a bird sitting on the fence taunting me and he needed to be put in his place.
But, I seem to be slowly getting better and more active again. Mommy said she is gonna "Watch me like a hawk" whatever that means.
So, I have to take it easy for a while, but, it doesn't take too much energy to sit on my favorite couch , stare out the window and bark at the thunder anyhow.
I will let you know when I feel all better! Bye for now!

I have been doing a little thinking lately on a certain topic and I have come to a conclusion....I am a good boy. I don't make messes in the house, I don't bark too much or chew on Mommy and Daddy's stuff (often) so why is it, that I must sleep on the floor on a ragged Doggie bed when Mommy and Daddy have a nice big bed ?
Mommy thought just because their bed is really high and my hips give me problems , that I couldn't get up on their bed. She was wrong! I CAN and guess what? That bed is now MINE.
It's sort-of a tight fit, Mommy doesn't seem to mind having to hang her legs off the bed and Daddy doesn't seem to mind when I lay ontop of him or step on him while trying to get comfy. But, I am enjoying this bed much more then my old one.
Now, if we could only make a few changes it would be even better. I have already thought about the new sleeping arrangements and where everyone should be sleeping, but Mommy and Daddy are slow to learn.
I haven't yet managed to force them on to the floor, but I am hoping that I eventually will. I just know one of these nights, Mommy will eventually slide off the bed onto the floor where she will learn that she likes it down there.
I have enough doggie beds that they could each have one and I wouldn't mind. I am good at sharing because I am a good boy.
Well, I need to be going, Mommy is messing up the blankets on the bed. It took me a good five minutes to arrange those blankets the way I wanted! Training People is such a hard job! Wish me luck!

It has been a long time since I have posted anything, but I have been a busy pup.
Since my last Vet appointment, everything has been good. We decided to take the Vet's advice and wait a few months before we decide if we want to look into surgery concerning my hips.
The Vet said that I am young enough that my bones might just rub eachother down and sort-of fix themselves. But, to make sure I take my medication, which I have.
Mommy says that you wouldn't even guess I had a problem the way I run around and hop when I am excited. I love to hop and play.
We think that medication has helped a lot. I don't ever look like I am in pain or struggling anymore. It will be exciting to see what sort-of progress was made when I go to my next appointment.
My Mommy had some family visit us for two weeks which was so exciting!
Her 9 year old nephew was just my size to play with! We had a lot of fun , he makes much more interesting sounds then my squeaky toys. I wanted to keep him, but Mommy said I couldn't. : (
Well, I need to go bark at my new neighbor dog, I will try and post something soon! Bye!
