Likes:
Milo has been her best friend from the second we introduced them at the shelter's meeting room and he is a very good sport about her extreme energy.

Pet-Peeves:
rainy or boiling hot days, she has too much energy and she needs park time

Favorite Toy:
any toy another dog would like so they can play tug or chase

Favorite Food:
Salmon

Favorite Walk:
the park

Best Tricks:
Walking on a leash nicely and holding a Down AND she is now a certified Canine Good Citizen

Arrival Story:
We had visited the shelter a few times and they had many healthy chihuahuas in and out daily but when I saw "Toffee" (her shelter name) almost hairless, boney and STILL spunky she won me over. She had demodectic mange (I didn't know much about it) and a few dog experts e-mailed me encouragement and I decided to go for it. It's not contagious and easier to get rid of in puppies. It's common with dogs who have compromised immune systems. She was taken to the shelter by Animal Control from an ER place where she was dropped off by a good samaritan. The record said she was covered in fleas and starving so her immune system was really struggling. The shelter workers were dubious of her outlook, asking if I was sure I wanted to get a dog with her problems but her coat grew back so fast (I was told it would take months). What I thought would be a long haul project turned into a flash in the pan.

Bio:
Primrose loves to play and meet new friends. Whenever we have foster dogs overnight she insists on keeping them company the entire time. She enjoys training and will be starting Tiny Dog Agility to stay active.
