- Hello, everyone - my name is Roxy and I wandered up into a nice family's yard a couple weeks ago. I didn't have any tags and they took me to the vet to see if I had a microchip (I don't - whatever that is ). My foster mom wanted to adopt me herself but she has another dog who is a grumpy old lady and she doesn't like me :-( My foster mom even called area veterinarian's offices to see if anyone had reported a lost dog but no one is looking for me. Now that you know how I made it to the nice folks at Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue, let me tall you a little about myself.
I am about 1 year old, fawn with white markings, have natural ears and a docked tail. I really like playing outside with my two fur brothers in our fenced yard - mom says I like to "sun" and show off. I'm very confident and proud when I walk - mom says that I "prance". I have started to play with toys; my favorite ones are the stuffed furry ones. I am housetrained and crate trained (but mom calls it my bedroom) - I eat breakfast and dinner in my bedroom and hang out in there during the day while mom is at work. Then, I get to sleep on the couch during the night. When mom is working on the computer, I like to lay under her desk by her feet and I really enjoy getting hugs and massages. I walk on a leash pretty good and already know how to sit so I learn quickly. I also like to esocialize with people. I went to the Adopt-A-Thon at Pura Vida in Charlotte last weekend and met lots of really nice people. Now for some things that I do not like - I think cats are toys and like to chase them so I can't live in a home with cats and I'm a little sassy so I should not have any dominant/bossy fur brothers or sisters. I have been around two 5 year old skin boys and like them but I have not got to spend any length of time with them so I will let you know soon how I play with children. I went to the vet because I have a cough and mom got some medicine that will make me feel better. After that cough goes away, I will need to be spayed and will be ready to find my forever home.
