Bax von Mauritius - Ambassadog

Bax was born in Mauritius

An island off the coast of Africa, east of Madagascar. Bax was given to me by a friend. I had had a german Shepherd dog in Tanzania that I had to give up when i left Tanzania. His name was Bax. I never forgot Bax and always talked about him. The fact that I had to give him up, hurt so bad that i had not intended to get another dog until after I retired. Mauritius was to be my last assignment prior to retirement. One day my friend invited me to lunch. At his home, unbeknownst by me, there was a litter of GSD pups. As i entered the home, a puppy was pushed into my arms and I was told "This is Bax." My friend had heard me speak of Bax I so much and knew how much i missed him that he gave me a new Bax. How sweet! And once i held that squirmy fur ball in my arms and got licked on the nose i was hooked! "Yes." I said " This is Bax."
