Dear Diary,
Well, it finally happened: someone took me to the Groomer's. I didn't think I'd like it all that much... that pampering spa stuff is for girls, right? That's what my sister Lina tells me. Anyhow, it wasn't so bad, because I got to kiss a gorgeous girl all day! Why didn't anyone tell me there would be faces to lick?? I'd have done this a long time ago!
That Lady told the groomer to make me look dog shaped. Dog Shaped!? Say what? I thought I was already pretty dog shaped. I'm shaped exactly as a boodle should be: like a wedge (broad in the front and narrow in the hips). I'm already perfect, what more could they want?
I can't wait until this shampoo smell wears off. I've been trying to remove it by rolling in the grass (and in squirrel droppings), but to no avail. Maybe I can find a nice dead bird to roll in?
Speaking of birds, I was really disappointed today when we went for our walk. It was raining (which is fine with me), so the creek was really really high. Lina wanted to go swimming in it and hopefully get mud in her ears, but all I wanted was to find and eat the Evil Mr & Mrs Duck who are always hanging out there, with their feathers and delicious smell, taunting me and teasing me... grrr! That Lady would not let either of us in the creek, there were no trash cans to get into, no other dogs to greet, no squirrels... it was dull. I was glad to get home so I could make That Lady chase me around the house with the towel. I let her catch me eventually, because I like getting rubbed down with the towel, but making her chase me is good for her health!
