Likes: Her little stuffed squeeky toys.
Pet-Peeves: Being kept in her kennel or carry crate.
Favorite Toy: A tiny stuffed squeeky dog.
Favorite Food: Puppy food and loves to chew on strips of pig ears, and a calf's hoof.
Favorite Walk: She thinks she is a big dog when I let her out in the yard. Runs and hops over the blades of grass.
Arrival Story: My coworker got a new Yorkie puppy. Her dog accidently fell off of their pier and into the lake at their house. She grieved so hard for her dog, and eventually went to TN to get another puppy. She had posters printed up with a beautiful sunset over the lake at her house and a photo of the Yorkie that drowned in the lake. She put a list of safety precautionson the poster not only for dogs, but children also on the poster for people living around or playing around water. These posters have been put in all vet offices in our community and surrounding areas.
I did not know much about the Yorkie breed and was looking on the internet for pictures and information. I found articles about Morkies, Yoranians, etc. I saw an ad for a female Yoranian in a city near where I live and contacted the owner. I picked up my puppy Thursday night and today, Saturday she is a blended member of the household. My one year old Chihuahua female is loving playing with her. They jump around together and share toys and chase eachother in a circle. It is so much fun to watch. My 6 year old Chihuahua male is not a morning dog. He won't even eat until 9 or 10 o'clock. He does not like the rough playing anymore. He rather enjoys running outside. He runs so fast, for being so small.
When I brought the Yoranian puppy home Thursday night, I kept calling her Princess instead of Precious. For some reason, I had trouble remembering Precious. So I told my husband, that will be her name then. She is a little Princess and acts like one too. I even found a little round jeweled medalion with a little crown and pink lettered "Princess" at PetCo to put on the collar.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
October 16, 2009 I will be 9 months old. I have grown a bit, but still tiny and only weigh 6 lbs. Mommy said I don't feel like I weigh but 4 lbs, I am so light.
I went to the beauty parlor yesterday and got a shampoo and trim. I have what they call a short Yorkie cut but mommy said they should not cut my tail.
I don't get sick riding in the car anymore either. I like to look out the window in the car at all the people.
After my haircut we went to PetCo. My, my, my, all the toys, just about anything a dog could want. Mommy got me a new collar and a toy. Daddy got a bag of treats for me too.
I was so tired from my long day, I slept all the way home.
Mommy took me to this man again on Saturday. There was a big bull dog waiting to see the man. I growled at him and barked. He did not seem to be scared of me though. He had trouble breathing, guess that is why he went to see the man.
When it was my turn, the man stuck this thing up my bottom and twisted it. It hurt and I yelled a lot. I jumped in mommy's arms when he let me go. I was afraid he would do that again.
Then he stuck me with a needle and I yelled again. I never thought it would stop stinging me. I got a lump under my skin and it hurt for a long time. He weighed me and said I weigh 3.5 pounds.
I got sick in the car and threw up. I don't think I want to go back to see him anymore.
Then mommy took me to an art festival. There were other doggies there with their owners. Little puppies like me and big doggies too. I saw my Dogster friend Max there. I was scared of him and cried a little. He was bigger than his picture on the computer. I am sure he is nice, but right now he is much bigger than me and he is only a month or so older than I am.
This Friday I will be 12 weeks old. Time is sure flying by. I enjoy going outside and running and hopping in the grass, especially if it is warm from the sun. There are these pretty colored things called flowers. I like to taste them, but it seems to upset mommy when I do that. I would like to explore the yard more, but mommy is afraid a big bird will fly out of the woods and carry me off. She is so over protective.
Mommy said she wants to take my picture this weekend to post on Dogster. I will try to smile.
