We love to walk by the canal next to our home. The ducks are always there!

I can sit, beg, lay down and roller over. Irwin is still learning to sit & stay!

Arrival Story:
Let's see...My name is Rupert. I am a Dachshund and I have been with my family since May of 2005. I had a previous owner that could no longer take care of me and my family decided that I would be a great addition; I was 3 months old. I had no idea what to make of my new home the first time I walked through the door, but within minutes it was as if I had been there from the beginning. I was home! I want you to meet my friend, Irwin. He is a Min Pin (I think) and he has been with my family since March of 2007. Apparently, he was walking down a very busy road and my mom saw him, pulled over and he jumped in the car. I have to admit, I was not that happy when I first saw him; but he grew on me and now we are the best of friends.

Summer Weight Loss

Rupert here...Summer is now over and my mom is back home. I am really beginning to hate Summertime; every year I seem to loose weight when my mom is not here. I seem to worry that she may not be coming back. She always reassures me, but when she's not here I just can't help but worry. I do have some good new though, my mom lost some weight too. Looks like she worries as well.

Rupert here...I know that it has been awhile since the last entry, but things have been quite hectic around here...Over the weekend some of my Pup Pals passed away and I just can't believe it. The way they died has me sick to my stomach and it makes me wonder what type of person/persons would do something like that. I sure hope they catch whomever is responsible. This should not go unpunished. Rest in Peace Jake, Joey & Nari

Rupert here...Well, mom did warn me that April was going to be a crazy month and she wasn't kidding; one minute she's there and the next she's gone again. I want to know, where does she go? What does she do and why can't I go with her? Actually, Irwin is wondering the samething. Maybe one of these days we will get our answers...
