Favorite Food:
Canidae ALS, Natures Variety Instinct Duck and Turkey, and anything else Momma will give me. I really like chicken nuggets when the baby drops them on the floor.

Meadow Park (cause Momma takes me off the leash), Squaw Valley Park cause I can play in the creek, and Allegany State Park (when we visit Dad's family).

Best Tricks:
Sit pretty, paw, dance, lay down, fetch, putting my toys away, and come here.

Arrival Story:
My husband was selling his golf clubs and bought me Valentine as a gift. I was searching online for another dog because our 3 year old Aussie was being overrun by the cats and needed a playmate. He fell in love with her instantly and got her for me. The rest is history... :)

Hello everyone! Val's mom here.

As many of you know my adopted mother passed away of breast cancer on September 18th. This has been really hard on my family and I would just like to take a minute to remind all of our Dogster friends to please remember to do your monthly BSE and get your mammograms done! If you don't have health insurance and need a mammogram, please let us know and we can direct you to someone in your area that will do them at reduced cost or for free.

My Barkday is Tuesday (9/22) and Momma's bringing me a- doggie!

My first Barkday is on September 22nd and I'm so excited because that is also the day my Momma is bringing home our potential new fur-sis! Momma is getting prepared for her arrival now, she is a black lab mix named Xena. We're very excited to be fostering her for the G20 summit! Daddy said if all goes well and we are approved for adoption she'll officially be our fur-sis! Momma brought home her food, leashes and collar today so that she is prepared to bring her home on Tuesday!
Momma's baking some treats and making me a cake I'm so excited, the kitchen smells so good right now! Only a few more days!

Schools and SD

So Momma was telling Dad that she I received an order form in class today for SD. She asked the professor if they sponsor the school or what the deal is because it's really not a good food. Her prof. proceeds to tell her that it's a great food. She laughed and just said not really. She does think it's nice that they (Hills) provides free food for the kennel animals (there's a good amount of them), but it really irritates her that they brainwash the educators. Next term she has a nutrition course and is thinking about starting a debate on the quality of foods. SD made our skin and coats so bad, and it has much improved since feeding Canidae, they're soft and shiny (or as Momma likes to call them "puppy soft") She also wonders why the better dog food companies don't infiltrate the schools the way that Hills does. She hadn't heard of a lot of the better foods until she joined dogster. We love the dogster foodies! They are very knowledgeable and are willing to help any doggie and human that is willing to listen!
