Arrival Story: Foxy was given to us by his original owner who couldn't give him the attention and love that he needs. He was pretty nervous at first, but he just loves Cricket and Nemo, he seems especially fond of Cricket. His original owner did not have him fixed and had actually been breeding him (which upsets me far more than I can express with words here). Since coming here, he seems far more relaxed in the house, he's still pretty nervous outdoors.
Foxy was originally meant to be my mom's chihuahua, since she loves lap dogs...however, Foxy has other plans. Since I was the one fostering him for several months, he formed an intense connection to me. His original owner neglected him and never gave him much attention. When she wasn't using him for breeding she was letting him run in the streets, tagless and unfixed. So I think I was the first person to really show him constant affection...and he certainly picked up on that.
When it came time for him to move in with my mom and her girlfriend (just around the block from me), he got really scared. He got through the gap in their fence and wouldn't come to either of them...but he ran right back here. When he saw me standing at the front door he leapt right into my arms! Since then my mom has rescued another chihuahua to be her own, since Foxy has chosen and plans to keep me! Bio: Foxy is very sweet and loves nothing more than to snuggle in your lap...day and night! If he can't sit in your lap he complains about it by pawing at you. He also loves to play with the other dogs, especially Cricket...in fact I think he's in love with Cricket sometimes, they make a cute couple!
