Hi, my name is Dee Dee
(aka Princess Diane).
I was rescued from Caroline County Animal Shelter and came to AARF nameless, thin, filthy and sick.
The foster parents gave me a proper English name Princess Diana, but nicknamed me DeeDee.
The vet found that I had kennel cough, bronchitis, hookworms and whipworms.
I only weighed 33 lbs at the vet and English Settlers, like me, should be 40 to 60 lbs.
Good news is that I am heartworm negative, and am gaining weight, and now have no more cough or worms.
I have bad teeth so the vet will have to fix my teeth when I gain some weight.
Because of my bad teeth, my vet had difficulty determining how old I am but guess like everyone else that I am 5-6 years
old.
