Arrival Story:
She literally ran into my life! She was a wet, straggly stray and one day when I was walking home from work in the rain she came up to me on the porch. When I opened the door she ran in! A few days later we found the owner. She was a housebound 86 year old woman with 4 cats and 3 dogs. She didn't like Buffy because she didn't get along with the other animals and had accidents in the house so she just let her out one day because she was angry. She sent her grandson and his wife to pick up Buffy and the grandson told me that he wouldn't give Buffy back to his grandmother because Buffy was abused, unvaccinated and malnourished in her home. He told me that he would keep Buffy if we didn't want her because he didn't feel his grandmother could take care of her or any of her other pets. We spoke to the woman and she didn't want Buffy anymore, she just didn't want her grandson to be upset with her anymore for letting her loose. So in the end we were all happy. Buffy (I didn't have the heart to change her name...she loves it so much!) has since gained TWO pounds and is a much happier dog than when we first got her. She is my bestest girlfriend!
