I got diary of the day!!!

Thank you so much for choosing mine as diary of the day. I am so excited that my stubby tail is wagging faster than ever! I am doing the kidney bean dance....wiggle wiggle wiggle!!!

1st day post-op

Ok, here we are the day after surgery and I am feeling better but not back to my usual self yet. I'm still laying around alot but got to eat today so that was great. I hope to feel more like myself tomorrow.

A new life for me

I had no idea when I woke up this morning that I would be missing something later. All seemed normal until I didn't get any breakfast. My mom is always so good about getting me fed after I go out to potty in the morning but today was different, no food or water. Mom wasn't in her usual routine to get ready for work either...it was later in the morning than normal. Why wasn't she going to work today? Then something really different happened, both me and Dempsey got to go for a car ride with mom. What's going on here? Are we going to work with Mom? That can't be right because Sam (my human brother) is going too. We wouldn't all be going to work with Mom. Well we enjoyed the ride anyway. When we finally reached our destination, Sam took Dempsey and Mom took me and we both walked across this large parking lot into this big building that we've never seen before. There were no people around and very few cars going by. We walked into this building and into a small room where two girls were sitting behind desks. The next thing I knew Dempsey and I got handed over to these total strangers..."bye mom". I was scared and Dempsey was trembling. Even though I had never been to this place before, I knew it wasn't good. It's hard for me to recount what happened after that door shut behind me. The best part was that before too long, Mom came to pick us up. I was really groggy and wobbly and was glad to see her but wasn't my usual wiggle butt self. I now know what happened to me....they cut open my belly and took something out!!! What once was there is now gone!!! I'm not quite sure how that happened but I went to sleep and when I woke up, my belly hurt.
Mom knew all along what was going to happen. What was she thinking??? I guess I have to trust that she knew best and she did this for a good reason. There go my plans to be a mom and raise a family. Thanks Mom!
