Arrival Story:
I was adopted as a puppy and returned because I figured out how to open the door and just let myself out (smarter than my owners). I thought I was pretty clever, but they didn't share my ideals and ended up taking me back to the pound. Ever since then, I was waiting for a new home, but no one ever came to adopt me. The shelter director LOVED me and really wanted to see me find a home, so she postponed my "due date" week after week. That's when a group called ABRA gave me my golden ticket! They were all the way by Chicago, but a transport was set up and I was outta there.

Bio:
I'm sweet and energetic and really need another dog to play with. I GET ALONG GREAT with Nick and if you're looking for two dogs, we could home together.

New Foster Dogs

We have new puppies in the house but they're very shy. I got to play with them earlier and that was fun. It's raining a lot today, which makes going outside miserable. I am not a water dog!

Anyhow, I am still looking for a new home, but I'm loving foster care. Every night I snuggle up with my Foster Mom and sleep all night long. She says I'm very warm and better than a space heater.

Well, it's about time for a nap here. Nothing better on a rainy day than curling up for some zzzz's, right? I have a favorite place on the couch.

Fun in the sun! And a new one!

It was in the sixties today, so Foster Mom let the dogs out! It rocks being able to run around like a goon and get some fresh air, especially since it's been a long winter and I'm a little tired of getting my paws cold in the snow.

We also have a new friend in foster care, though he's only staying overnight. His name is Joss and he's a Wheaton terrier. He looks like a sheep, so I feel like herding him into the corner. Good thing I'm not a herding kind of dog. He's really nice, even though the shelter said he was hyper and bad with kids. So far he's doing really good.

It's touch being a shelter dog since we don't always act the way we do at the pound as we do in a home. We need time to adjust and few of us have more than a week, if that. Luckily our Foster Mom took him out of there. I hope his new foster home loves him!

After all that play time I think it's time for a nap.

Oreo.

My new collar

Guess who looks extra pretty these days? ME! Foster Mom went to Healthy Hounds Barkery in Flossmoor, IL and bought me a brand new bright pink collar and I look fab. I love it since I look very feminine and I'm now visible from anywhere in the yard! Just look for the neon pink! You might even be able to see me from space!

Who knew Pink was my color? It makes my short black fur look even shinier and prettier.

So my collar rocks and I love it. No one else got a new collar, so I'm feeling extra, extra special right about now. All I need is a new home and I'm set.
