The same groomer from whom we adopted Goldie asked us if we wanted Lucy. She heard we had adopted other rescue Pekes before and that had gone to the Rainbow Bridge now. Lucy was sent to the Breeder from Britain and offered as a white breeding female. Unfortunately for her, Lucy was a "sleeve" dog. They are no longer bred but there are genetic throw-backs and occasionally one or more will be born to a normal size litter. (see below for more info) She and Goldie play fight but there is a rivalry between them for Mom's attention. Lucy is really my granddaughter, Emily's dog, but Emily's mom's rental does not allow dogs so she is ours for a while longer until they move into a house of their own. Emmy visits on weekends and Lucy still loves her a lot! NOW Emily let her stay with Nana and where Lucy's new forever Mommy is now Auntie Tina. Tina and Lucy love each other and now Tina calls Lucy "SNOE PUFF", but everyone else still calls her Lucy.
[Brief History*Pekes*- The ancient Chinese bred very small Pekes for the purpose of putting them in the large hanging cuffs of the emperor's cloak, in that way, carrying them along with him all day in his sleeves. This smaller Peke is prone to disease and NO legitimate breeder wants these genes in their pool.*]
The breeder tried "giving" her to two different homes before she met me. Both of the new people brought her back because she did no-no's inside and barked a lot. (Neither of these 2 parties ever spent any time training her because they worked away from home all day and left her alone all day.) We adopted her forever and now, while she still pretty much barks at everything, she is much calmer and has been trained to do her business outside or on her puppy pad in bad weather. She is developing a cute little personality of her own, which will take a while since she was deprived of close human contact in her first year of life. She knows she is loved with us and is behaving accordingly
I love my walkies!

Mommy and Daddy and my "little" momma, Emily, have to move again in 2 months when my human little momma gets out of school. They have to find another place to rent or maybe buy a house. Mom and Dad are at work all day and my baby sister, Gracie is a daycare and my litttle Momma is at school all day. Meanwhile, hardly anyone is home during the day and I was gettin' real lonesome for someone to play with.
So, because they are all so busy right now, I was sent to Nana and Papa's house to live again for a while, until they can settle in and be home with me more. Nana and Papa and Auntie Tina were really, really happy to have me stay here again. They all hugged me and kissed me and I got lotsa treats!
Momma brought my bed, food and treats along for Nana to give to me here and also my avorite ornage teddy bear. I also got a bran' new ropy toy and I love to share it with Zach - MY BEST FRIEND in the whole world. Even Princess Goldie seems happy to see me too. She even shared nana and papa's bed with me.
I miss my mom and sisters but I'm glad to be here too. Anyways, I will be going back to live me Momma Emmy sometime this summer. Meanwhile I have a neato backyard, friends to play with and lotsa goodies thanks to Nana, who spoils all the pups in this house.
I'll let you know what happens to me later. Bye now - WOOF WOOF, ruf ruf ruf, yip yip yip , oops, sorry Nana I'll be quieter.
