Arrival Story:
Annie was just a stray dog running around the neighborhood. For about a week, she avoided all our attempts to catch her, and was too fast even to see her collar. When two of the guys in the area eventally caught her (which involved hitching a ride from a kind samarian down the street and taking a nasty bite on the hand) her fur was over-grown and badly matted. We don't know where she was from, as the collar showed no identification. We rushed her to the vet, and shesaid that little Annie had the worst case of maggots she had ever seen. Also Annie probably wouldn't have lived another 24 hours on her own. From her teeth, they estimate that she is about 6 months old.
