Camping, beaches, being around his family.
Didn't have any.
Through the blackberry bushes, even though his fur always got stuck on the thorns.
Nashoba was the first dog for my family. After much research my mom knew she wanted a Keeshond and she found a breeder on Vancouver Island. My mom, brother and I went over to visit the puppies and the breeder let the dog choose us, the one that liked us best was our baby Nashoba. A little while later my mom went back to the breeder while my brother and I were at school, and we came home to find Nashoba running around our house.
Nashoba had to be put down December 28th 2004 after getting really sick during Christmas time. After lots of testing done from boxing day until the 28th we were told Nashoba's heart was enlarged and full of liquid. We had three options; we could put him on meds that might not do anything, we could drain his heart and have it swell again later or we could put him to sleep. My mom made the painful choice to let go of our beloved friend knowing it was in his best interest. Just before putting him down we gave him his first McDonalds cheeseburger and lots of kisses and hugs. When the vet sent us his ashes we took them to Nashoba's favorite beach on Vancouver Island. It had been raining all week but as we scattered our friend in the ocean it got sunny for just a few minutes.
Over the bridge, but still in our hearts
