My biopsy results

Today the vet called and said that my tumor that was removed was benign it's not cancer! My parents are so happy! I'm doing good I can't play with my Dad like we usually do but I am going on walks at least.I'm not eating as much but that's probably because of my antibiotic.I have to wear my cone until my stitches come out but my parents take it off for me to eat and go on walks and to watch TV because I'm laying right next to them and they can watch me. Next week when I get my stitches out everything will be back to normal I can't wait! Thank you to everybody who gave me POTP and get well wishes.Until next time.....DIESEL.

Biopsy and Teeth Cleaning

Today my parents woke me up really early this morning I was really tired but I got up and was really excited because I saw my parents getting ready like they do when I go bye byes in the car.We went in the car and I was really excited wondering where they were going to take me.We went to my vets parking lot where I started shaking I just went to that place 2 weeks ago! my Dad petted me and told me it was alright.We got out of the car and I took a walk before my parents brought me to the vets.They walked me in the back and my Dad put me in a kennel.I tried to run out but he put me back in again.Mom said the kennel was nice and big and she told me she loved me and that they would see me later.I was not happy at all the dog in the kennel next to me was upset too.Two weeks ago when I had my shots,yearly check up and blood work done my mom showed the vet a red bump I had on my right back leg he did an aspiration on it but that was inconclusive.My parents waited 2 weeks after that to see if it would go away it didn't so that's why today I had to get it surgically removed and I got my teeth cleaned for the first time too.When my parents picked me up I was crying but excited to see them I was running around the waiting room (more like flopping around because I was disoriented from anesthesia) until Dad carried me to the car.Mom brushes my teeth every night so I had no dental problems so that was good but my parents are worried about my biopsy results.I had to get 5 stiches,3 different pills to take,and I have to wear the cone! it was not a very good day today. Hopefully when I get my biopsy results that bump will be nothing (paws crossed) I'm going to go rest now.Until next time........DIESEL.

My 4th Birthday

Today is my 4th birthday! I had a pumpkin theme party I let my parents take pictures of me wearing my pumpkin party hat at the table then it was party time! I got a new toy a ring called the Kong Ballistic I really like my new ring it seems stronger than my Tuffy's Mega Ring so it might last longer against my chompers.I like the red and black colors too.My Mom baked me a puppy cake carob flavor it's the first puppy cake I ever had Mom usually bakes me a peanut butter cake from scratch I really liked my carob cake! I got Buddy Biscuits Peanut Butter and Carob and Pumpkin Cookie I love both those flavors! and I got Milk Bones chewy treats chicken and sweet potato I really like those too.I also got my favorite Frosty Paws! I had a big piece of cake with my Frosty Paws and they were delicious! I got a peanut butter and carob Buddy Biscuit after that then I played with my new toy with my Dad.I had a great 4th birthday! Red Hill Community Park

Today I went to Red Hill Community Park with my parents this was my first time there and I really liked it.When we first got out of the car I went on the grass and there was a brown bunny sitting there.Then we walked around the park and there was a big pond with ducks and water turtles.We watched them for a while.There was a brown duck quaking next to the pond on the pavement she was running all around.A man and his daughter noticed that there was quaking coming from the storm drain.Her baby ducks fell inside because the cover had wide bars and she was trying to tell someone.He said there was no way to get them and walked by.We walked all around the park looking for a phone number to call for help.When we got back to the duck we saw a group of guys had pulled off the top of the drain and one went inside and was getting the baby ducks out.He and his friends put the baby ducks back in the pond and the mom duck and her babies were so happy! that was so awesome of them to rescue the ducks! We walked around the pond again and we saw the mom and her six babies on the other side resting on rocks. We saw more ducks too white ones and brown ones and more water turtles.Then as we walked back to the car there were 2 ducks sitting by a tree one kept moving his neck back and forth but they calmed down when they realized I only wanted to look at them and was not going to run at them.They were really cool.We said goodbye to the ducks saw the bunny one more time then we went home. My 1st visit to Thompson Trail

Today my Dad stayed home and my parents took me to the Thompson Trail and Higginbotham Park in Claremont.This was my 1st visit and it was so awesome! I had a great time! First we started walking along the trail I said hi to a shih tzu and then my parents took turns holding me on their laps on a bench while they took pictures.While mom and me were on the bench a big lab came over to the water fountains in front of the bench and we said hi to each other.After pictures we walked along the trail and it was full of dogs I said hi to a corgi and after we sniffed each other we continued on the trail.The trail is also for horses and there were a few people who's backyards face the trail with horses as well as a horse boarding.The horse boarding also had donkeys and goats as well as chickens and roosters. Mom thought that the chicken and roosters little red house was so cute.Dad and I took pictures in front of the door it had horseshoe designs all over it it was really cool.We watched all the animals there for a little while and continued on the trail until we came to Higgenbotham Park. Mom took pictures with me in front of big rocks at the park and Dad and I went into a tunnel and Mom took pictures of us.After that I kicked up a bunch of sand and made Mom laugh.Then me and Dad went onto the play train at the park while Mom took pictures of us.Mom thanked me for taking such good pictures and being such a good boy then we finished the trail and turned back around again and saw everything for the second time.As we were walking back I tried to say hi to a bulldog but he sure was cranky! he pushed me away with his mouth and made a snorting noise I didn't do anything back but smile at him and mom said that's ok he's just not in the mood to say hi and that I was a good boy. She told the bulldog he was cute and we went to rest by a bench for a little bit.Mom took more pictures of me sitting in front of Dad resting and we had a lady take a picture of all 3 of us on the bench.Then the bulldog came by and his dad took a picture of all of us too and my parents talked to the bulldog's dad for a while.His dad thought I was a puppy BOL! he said my face looks real young.The bulldog was making all kinds of snorting noises and acting like he had something in his throat so mom gave him some of my water from my water bottle.The bulldogs dad said bulldogs always make noises like that.Then a little while later he went to his car and we went to ours.Then my parents drove me to downtown Claremont and we walked around there for a while alot of people were walking their dogs too.There were dogs eating at some restaurants outside on the patios with their parents.Then mom and dad got their dinner and we came home. After I ate my dinner I got Frosty Paws! I had such a great day today! Until next time.....DIESEL.

My 3rd birthday

Today for my 3rd birthday my mom baked me a peanut butter and banana cake with peanut butter and cream cheese frosting.I got a piece of it with Frosty Paws it was good! I got a bunch of treats including Zuke's turkey n tators and health nutz with almond and peanut butters and a stuffed bone with a rope on the end of it.I even got a bull terrier birthday card that sings Atomic Dog.I had to take a few pictures with my birthday hat on and I didn't like that too much so I didn't take that many I just ate my cake and Frosty Paws and ran away BOL! Awesome Day

Today I went out with my parents and got to go to both Petsmart and Petco! I got 2 new Kong Toys and toothpaste at Petsmart.I had fun walking around and seeing other dogs.I then went to Petco and got a Natural Balance Duck and potato roll and then we watched the birds.Then I ate some treats from the treat bar.I had a walk around the buildings of both pet stores and I was tired.I got to rest with my Dad in the car while mom went grocery shopping when she came out she told me she got me a can of salmon,some ground chicken and some treats.Then we went home because it was late my parents take me out when the sun is going down so I don't get too hot and by the time we were done with everything it was dark and past dinner time so we had to go home and eat some of the yummy treats I got and play with both my toys.I had a great time today and am looking forward to having my dad home for 3 days it's going to be a great Labor Day weekend! I had company today

Today at 6 am my mom heard thunder and lightening.She looked out the bedroom window and saw it was raining and she couldn't go back to sleep so she went out to the living room. I followed her and she asked me if I wanted to go potty.I went outside to go and ran to the side of our gate.Mom came outside and looked over at me I had my face stuck inside the bars of the gate looking at something and as she came over Jack Russell puppies were coming at me at the gate then running away! Mom hurried and picked me up and brought me inside.She then ran outside and told all the puppies to come inside our gate.They were small they fit right through the bars.Mom ran in the house got Dad up and he came out back to help with the puppies.Mom got the keys and opened the side gate and looked next door because that is where crying and the puppies were coming from.All 5 of the puppies were fitting under the neighbors gate and coming over to ours fine except one was stuck she could not fit.The neighbor had his gate locked and he would not answer his door because he was still sleeping so Dad got a ladder and climbed over the neighbors yard and handed mom the last one.The last one was not a puppy it was the mom.Poor thing was drenched and shivering.Mom set up the workout room for the puppies and their mom she laid down sheets and towels and gave them some of my food.They sure were hungry they ate a can and some kibble and some biscuits too.The puppies were adorable(at least that's what mom kept saying)mom kept rubbing their bellies and they were climbing all over her nipping her and giving her kisses.I was watching over the baby gate in the doorway sometimes a puppy would jump in my face. I was a good boy and nice to them I was helping mom keep them in the room they kept trying to climb over the baby gate.They were jumping over weights and running all around. The mom was really nervous though she did want to be in the room even after her pups fell asleep and were snoring mom could not get the pups mom to rest.Even being in the backyard did not ease her nervousness she kept running around and could not settle down she kept trying to run under our backyard gate. So mom kept carrying her everywhere in the house while she made flyers and got dressed.Then she took the mom out front and put flyers on neighbors doors.Mom noticed the man next door was up so she went over and told him what was going on in his backyard at 6 in the morning.He told her the dogs came from the house directly behind him and that he put concrete down but they get in anyway.So Mom had Dad babysit the mom and her pups while she walked around the corner in search of the dogs owner.She knocked on one door that she thought was the house but he said it was next door.So she went next door but nobody answered.The man who told her where the dogs belong too was outside and asked her if anyone answered.She told him no and his wife came out and he said the mom and the puppies come over to his house all the time under the fence and his kids and dogs play with them.Him and his wife said they would take them and give them to the owner later.He said he knows the owner he works nights and while he's at work the dogs get out sometimes.After talking to him and his wife mom felt comfortable to give the dogs to him.So he got his little girl to help and he gave mom a ride back home and mom brought the dogs out to him and his daughter. The man knew the mama's name and he was happy to see them all.He even had a favorite puppy the one that was biting and picking on the others BOL! Mom was really grateful that he would help with the dogs.She thanked him and he took them to his house.That was really nice of him.I now have my house and my mom's attention back.Until next time.....DIESEL.

I'm a hero!

Yesterday the turtle went missing. After mom searching for hours day and night,dad being late for work to help her find him and all of going for a walk and putting flyers in all our neighbors mailboxes and offering a $100 reward for his return today I went outside on the side of the house to one of my favorite places to pee by the rose bushes and guess what I found? The turtle! mom came out to see what I was doing because usually I pee and run back in and she saw me sniffing and nudging the turtle with my nose.He was under the concrete he dug a hole in the dirt by the rose bushes and was hiding under the patio. My mom even got up and searched for him today even by the rose bushes but I sniffed him out hiding under the patio! Mom shouted "Diesel found the turtle!" dad came out and mom showed him where the turtle was. Mom was so excited and told me I was her hero! He was very scared when he was found he was all shut up in his shell his head,legs everything shut up very tight.We weren't sure he was going to be okay my dad called a reptile store and they said to soak him in his water bowl he will come out and after about 10 minutes he did come out of his shell turtle is ok! Mom keeps laughing because now I keep going over to the spot looking for more turtles BOL! He had a big adventure outside for 29 hours all by himself he was on the other side of the house from where my mom last saw him! Now my mom is happy and has time for me again.Turtle is now enjoying a soak in his water bowl and his meal of bananas and tomatoes his 2 favorite foods. I have to go do errands with my parents now I get to go to the pet store for being so good and I am getting a box of Frosty Paws too! It's good to be a hero! Until next time.....DIESEL.

Turtle on the loose

Today my mom let her box turtle out in the backyard at 1 pm for playtime because he was very upset in his aquarium he kept climbing on top of his bark house and falling on his back and clawing at the aquarium glass.The turtle loves to be in the backyard and doesn't like to be in his aquarium all the time so my mom often lets him out.There is usually no problem as the turtle walks around the grass area and sleeps in front of one of the bushes and my mom checks on it every few minutes.Well today mom let the turtle out and came back in the house because it was time for one of my medications.She left the turtle alone for less than 4 minutes to give me my Benedryl pill and went back out to check on the turtle.She was out there for a while before she came back in and told me and dad she couldn't find the turtle.She told me to help but I wasn't much help I couldn't smell it or find it I'm not much of a hound dog.She spent all day looking for the turtle in every bush,all around the house the front of the house in case he fit through the bars on the backyard gate,asked neighbors, dad even helped her but turtle is missing.She put signs up and is hoping for the best but it's dark now and they looked everywhere and the turtle does'nt stay hidden for long it likes to walk around it would have come out by now.Mom is really upset and can't figure out what happened to the turtle it's not very small so she wouldn't really miss it if it was hiding in a bush it is possible he made it out the back gate slipped through the bars and out front but he must have been really fast and probably would've had to turn to it's side to slip through the bars it's possible though.Mom really wants her turtle back she's had it 14 years and loves him plus I need her to find it because she has not had any time for me today she's been outside looking for him for hours and she really tried looking too she came in all sunburnt and her arms cut up from the all the bushes plus she is upset and cranky I want my mom back the way she was.I don't know if he ran away or aliens snatched him or what but he needs to come home! poor turtle I hope he is okay wherever he is and I hope we find him soon.Until next time.......DIESEL.
