Likes:
Basking in the sun-he was well named!

Pet-Peeves:
Getting his nails trimmed, going to the vet, and baths. Oh yes, and skunks. :)

Favorite Toy:
His soft frisbee.

Favorite Food:
Anything Mary is eating!

Favorite Walk:
Wherever Mary is going.

Best Tricks:
He'd bring his frisbee to have you throw it...if you didn't, he'd keep moving it closer to you until you gave up and threw it for him. Then he'd look at it as if to say, "What, you think I'm going to chase after that? Collies don't fetch, you know!"

Arrival Story:
Sunny was a rescue collie from CA. He was a show dog, but had developed a liver problem so had to be neutered...goodbye show ring! He joined our family in August 2001 when we rented a car and drove from Portland OR to Sacramento CA to meet with his former family and take him home. Sunny settled right in, as if he'd always been with us! He was the beloved baby of the family.

Bio:
Sunny was with us for 7 years before he passed away from cancer. He had several close calls over the years with various health issues (and not one of them on the collie health issues list!) and we know we were blessed to have him with us as long as we did. Sadly, he passed on my husbands birthday. The whole family was gathered around him as he crossed to the rainbow bridge. He left a huge hole in our hearts, and many wonderful memories to carry with us forever.
