Arrival Story:
I was looking for my very first dog and had searched high and low in all the local shelters, online, newspapers, etc. for a month and still hadn't found the right dog. One day my then-boyfriend, now husband, called and said someone had Newfoundland x GSD puppies and asked what I thought they would be like. I said, I thought theywould be adorable and we went out and met one and took him home! In retrospect, he was from a Newfoundland owner trying to turn BYB and Monty was an oops from a neighbor dog, so I'm kind of embarrassed to tell how I got him. I've done a lot of learning and growing since then and won't repeat my mistake, but Monty is a fantastic dog. He is quite human-like in his personality and emotions and I love him dearly. He's been my rock over the past two years while I've been apart from my husband and I don't think I could have made it without him. Soon I will finally get to live with my husband and he and I, Monty and Walter can at last be one big family! I can't wait!
