Arrival Story:
We adopted Myrna thru petfinder after our first lab had to be put down. Our male lab - Nick- was sooo depressed and missed Nora so we looked for another female to keep him company. They really get along great. In fact she is so good with my two cats - if you look close at the picture, you can see our kitten Dusty playing with Myrna's tail - it's always wagging.....We think there's a bit of Pit in her, but not sure..... Unusual, but she HATES getting wet! Although she will jump in the Manasquan inlet if there are birds in there and then starts to swim around....bath time is a total struggle - many, many treats still don't help! Today is August 18, 2009...I lost my best fur-buddy today...I don't know what happened, I saw daddy carry him to the car and he and mom drove away with Nick laying in the back of the car. When they came home much later they looked so sad, but Nick didn't come with them? I miss him even though he didn't like to play rough with me, but sometimes would chase the ball they threw. He liked to go for walks, but mom always took him home early and then continued with me...sometimes he dragged his hind legs and once he fell, so she rushed us home.....I wonder where he is????
