Arrival Story:
I spent 9 months of my first year of life in the pound. I was so close to being euthanized, but the Humane Society thought I was so sweet they could not bear to let that happen. They called a service dog organization in Kentucky and said they thought I would make a great candidate for a service dog. I was then temperment tested and went through obedience training. Then on September 26, 2006 I met my new family. They came to look at two other service dog candidates, however I knew they were the right family for me. I climbed in my mom's lap and didn't leave until someone had to pull me out of the van. She was mine. They took me home the next week and I have stayed here ever since. I now go everywhere with my mom. My specialty is picking things up when she drops them. Sometimes when I get bored I will bring her presents I find around the house, her face lights up every time. I love my family and they love me.

I'm a service dog.

Mommy needs your help. She entered a scholarship contest called "What is Your Passion" she wrote about me of course. She needs you to vote every day. If she wins she gets money for college. Hopefully the service dog organization I came from will get some attention too.

Remember you can vote everyday, and ask your pup pals to vote too!
