Introducing Myself!

Hi there! My name is Penelope the Puggle, but you can call me Penny for short.

I am a very good 12 year old doggie was abandoned at the pound because my mom had to go into a care facility. I miss her so much, and I'm still a little bewildered, but I'm happy to be somewhere with a yard and a warm bed! Although I've just arrived at my foster home, my foster mom noticed some things about me right away: I'm good at "sit", I'm a very smart dog, a good listener, and I am a super-DUPER cuddler. She also noticed that I'm very spry! You'd never believe I'm as old as I am when I dance around and chase toys! Stairs are no trouble for me.

I enjoy my walks very much and walk very nicely on a leash, but am not interested in going farther than down the street or around the block. I'm also the kind of girl who only ever goes outside to do my business (a lady through-and-through).

My dream home would be one where someone was around all day because I am a people person! Another good fit would be a home where it's not a problem that I'm a talker. I like to tell you what I'm thinking and bark to warn you that someone is by the yard or coming in the door. It's my very good protective beagle instincts at work! I can live with kids, but because I'm a littlish dog, kids over 5 please.

I'm great in the car, although I'm lukewarm about the actual rides, and I can be crated, although right now there's just no reason to need to crate me. I am good with other dogs and am only passingly interested in cats, and never to eat. It's been a tough time, but I'm sensing happiness is mine just around the corner again!
